Summary

Papers 1945-1969. A Country Women's Association of New South Wales was formed in 1922. Similar Associations were formed in other states thereafter, and worked in parallel as non-sectarian, non-political organizations whose object was to provide service for country women and children. By 1945 it was thought desirable to form a Country Women's Association of Australia as a national body. Records of the national body, including correspondence reports and circulars, also minutes of annual conferences 1945-1953, and minutes of biennial conferences 1955-1969.
