Papers. F.E. Doyle was secretary of the Queensland division of the Australian Federated Union of Locomotive Engine-men from 1958. He was elected to the House of Representatives as a Labor member for Lilley in 1972, but failed to retain the seat in the elections following the double dissolution of 1974.
