Summary

Records 1867-1973. The collection includes records of the Labor Council of New South Wales, Trades and Labor Councils of Ballarat, Mt Isa, Tasmania, Queensland and South Australia and the Trades Hall Councils of Geelong and Melbourne; there are 11 deposits comprising 15 feet 3 inches and 53 reels of microfilm. Records of the Trades and Labor Council of Queensland span 1867-1961 and contain minutes of meetings, financial and general records. In addition records of the Trades and Labor Council of Mount Isa are held and are listed below in detail. This material was collected by B. Shields from the Secretary of the Mt Isa Trades and Labor Council and the Librarian at the Mt Isa Public Library and relates to the Mt Isa Mines industrial strike of 1964-1965.
