A society established to enable 'all who are directly or indirectly interested in the pastoral and other industries of Australia, to act as an organized body ... in the promotion of, by all legitimate means, the interests of such industries, and in seeking redress by constitutional methods of all grievances and disabilities affecting the same.' Letters and associated papers relating to British investment in the pastoral industry in Queensland and New South Wales, and to attempts by the Society to secure more favourable land laws.
