Summary

Correspondence, newspaper extracts, 1912. Denham was born in England and arrived in Australia in 1881. After a period in South Australia he settled in Queensland in 1886 where he was involved as a produce merchant and the establishment of dairy factories. He entered parliament as MLA for Oxley in 1902, held several ministerial posts and became Premier in 1911. He was defeated at the polls in 1915 by the Labor Party, whereupon Denham retired from politics. Two volumes, one envelope. Oxley Library, State Library of Queensland.
