Summary

Drawings, natural history. Drawings of F.L. Bauer of animals and plants collected during Matthew Flinders' voyage to Australia, 1801-1803, being a selection of those in the British Museum (Natural History). During this period Flinders sailed north in the Investigator in July 1802, to make a detailed survey of the Queensland coast. However the vessel leaked badly and after several months of charting in the Gulf of Carpentaria waters the project had to be curtailed. Photoprints, one folder.
