Summary
The Mitchell Library holds a considerable collection of material relating to Captain James Cook. The following is a selective listing chiefly concerning his first Pacific voyage 1768-1771, plus bibliographical details and personal papers. Miscellaneous Papers, 17, 1959.

Forsyth an amateur historian and trustee of the Public Library of New South Wales, was particularly concerned with early voyages in the Pacific and the history of cartography in the Australian region.
