Diary, 1844-1845. Diary of the Port Essington expedition led by Ludwig Leichhardt, 18 September 1844-22 June 1845, original manuscript and typescript copy, three volumes. Contains daily entries on geography, natural history and the expedition in general, also details of camp sites with latitude and longitude notations, kept to the eve of his death at the Mitchell River on 28 June 1845.
