Papers. Letters and papers of the ornithologist John Gould and his zoological assistant John Gilbert, 1839, 1842-1843, chiefly concerned with natural history with list. Gilbert was later appointed second in command of the Leichhardt expedition to Port Essington, and was fatally speared by Aborigines on the Mitchell River in June 1845. One volume.
