Summary
Journal 1861-1862. German botanist who accompanied the expedition 1861-1862, in search of Burke and Wills, under the leadership of William Landsborough. The party was landed at the Albert River and from November 1861 travelled south and explored the Barkley Tableland. The following year they completed the first crossing of the continent from north to south. German manuscript with typescript copy of original English translation of a portion of the journal, 4 August 1861-1 April 1862. MITCHELL: C.407.
