B. Manuscript novel. 'Bush and Town or Twelve Months in Northern Queensland', ca.1865, by Robert Thomas Wood, writing as Frederick Smythe, pp.506. Drawn substantially from fact, the novel includes a description of life on a cattle station, and was written as the author states: "to depict life as it is in the intertropical districts of the colony, the tone of society and the amusements indulged to relieve a rather monotonous existence."
