Papers from ca.1862. The collection includes letterbooks, manuscripts, letters including correspondence Augustus Gregory to Samuel Birkbeck, also statistics regarding sheep shearing and wages 1862-1869, business records including cash books, ledgers and pass books, essays on land policy, a brief history of Glenmore Station from 1861, maps, photographs, and some microfilm material. Nine boxes. A detailed index is available. This extensive collection was acquired and presented by N.J.B. Plomley. Researchers must acquire written permission in advance from the Birkbeck family of Rockhampton, in order to use the collection. Material may not be removed from the Rare Book Room, Fisher Library.
