Charles William Bowly 1844-1932 was a pioneer grazier who arrived in Australia in 1873. The collection depicts family groups in England 1869; his North Queensland experience is illustrated with scenes of Lammermoor Station, Hughenden, Eastmere, Bowen Downs, Mount Cornish and Bimba Stations via Longreach, from 1874, also views of Bowen and Townsville 1873; some New South Wales country homesteads. 41 prints, 1 album, negatives held.
