Cultural Artefact: Delamothe Photographs Trembath Collection

Summary

The Trembath family came originally from Cornwall; in Queensland they first worked in western areas in transport, well-boring and dam sinking. Mr. Thomas Trembath later purchased Eumara Springs Station north of Charters Towers, which the family held until its sale in 1939. Family members are now widely settled in north Queensland, notably in Townsville and Innisfail; in the latter area they have sugar farming interests. The collection includes family ports, and groups, scenes of Charters Towers, Eumara Springs, Innisfail and Townsville, from early 20th century. 32 prints, 1 album, negatives held.
