Summary

John Busst, 1910-1971, artist, conservationist, ecologist, and activist for the preservation of the natural environment, particularly the Barrier Reef. Busst served as Queensland Councillor on the Australian Conservation Foundation, as chairman of the Committee for the Preservation of Tropical Rainforests, as President of the Tully-Innisfail branch of the Wildlife Preservation Society and President of the Innisfail branch of the Queensland Littoral Society; this involvement is reflected in the collection.
