Summary
An autobiography completed 5 May 1922. Ole Matsen was born in Denmark in 1850, from where he left by ship for Australia in April 1872. He came first to Mackay, then travelled to San Francisco where he remained for a period before returning to Mackay. He became involved in the sugar industry, holding land at Homebush from 1876 which was purchased by CSR in 1881; he also held land at Oakden. Newspaper extracts are included. 6 reels MF.
