Summary
Application for registration, deed of settlement, register of shareholders, memos, company liquidation and sale of interests to the colonial sugar refining co., 1864-1890. The Victorian Sugar Company was founded by C.S.R. in 1857 to establish a refinery and distillery in Victoria which gave rise to the present Yarraville plant. In 1887 C.S.R. and the Victoria Sugar Company amalgamated, whereupon the Colonial Sugar Refining Company Limited became the registered company. The records include details of Homebush and Victoria Mills, and the Johnstone River Plantation in Queensland. P.R.O.No. 10.
