Museum display collection, includes historical photographs dating from 19th Century. Subjects cover early Proserpine views, district homesteads, Proserpine Sugar Mill and field work, Aborigines, Cannonvale Jetty, school, theatrical and band groups, official opening Proserpine District Hospital ca 1911, hospital staff, recreation activities including scenes of the Coronation Picnic for George V, 1911, Proserpine business houses and public buildings. Part of the collection has been copied for the Delamothe Collection, where it is catalogued as the McClements Collection. The Proserpine Historical Museum is run by the Staniland family and is located three miles from Proserpine on the road to Shute Harbour. Visitors are welcome, admittance 1.50.
