Summary

The Trembath family came originally from Cornwall; after migrating to Australia they spent a period in western Queensland where they were engaged in transport, well boring and dam sinking. Mr Thomas Trembath later purchased Eumara Springs station, north of Charters Towers, where he bred fine draft horses as well as beef cattle. The property was sold in 1939, and family members are now widely settled throughout north Queensland, notably in Innisfail and Townsville. Mr and Mrs Trembath of Heatley, Townsville, hold a large collection of family records, including a considerable quantity relating to Eumara Springs station.
