Summary

The Belyando Divisional Board was established in 1879, and became the Belyando Shire in 1903. Records were lost in the Clermont flood of 1916, and in a Council fire in 1955.

COUNCIL MEETING ROOM

Photographs, framed prints from the Pullar Collection, including scenes of Copperfield township, early Clermont, and the transfer of buildings to the new site of Clermont following the flood of 1916. The photographs date from 1890.

MAIN OFFICE

Photographs, scenes of Clermont and district from the 1870s, comprising some 100 photographs, with duplicates. This collection has been copied for the Delamothe Collection of North Queensland History, James Cook University.
