Summary

The Hughenden Divisional Board was established in 1882, became Hughenden Shire in 1903, and the name was changed to Flinders Shire later that year. The Hughenden Borough was established in 1882, it became Hughenden Town in 1903, and was abolished and included in the Flinders Shire in 1958. The advice was that a large quantity of records were destroyed by fire. A full coverage of holdings was not possible.
