Talaroo is a cattle property on the Einasleigh river to the west of Mount Surprise. It is owned by the Lyons family, who also own Dagworth station nearby, and Wambiana south of Charters Towers. A large collection of station records is held, including diaries and wages and account books from 1906, chiefly relating to Dagworth station.
