This is research material collected by C.W (Theo) Wood, for his publication Sugar Country: a short history of the raw sugar industry of Australia, 1864 1964, Brisbane, 1965. Printed material includes The Dairyman, Farmer and Grazier Producer's Review (later Producers’ Review) 1916-1969, incomplete, republished as The Australian Canegrower, March 1979-present. The Canegrower and Tropical Cultivator The Official Organ of the Queensland Canegrowers Association of Australia, (Mackay), volume 1, January-December 1915. Additional Sugar Year Books, current periodicals, theses, and historical and reference works relating to the sugar industry are held. Intending researchers should apply in advance for access to records and study facilities in the office library. Photocopying equipment is available. The office is open Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm.
