Functioned first as an orphanage; the school was run by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart from ca. 1883, and by the Sisters of Mercy from January 1968. Pupil registers, March 1942-February 1943, 1 sheet (ceased because of war evacuation), August 1947-present, 2 vols.
Photograph collection includes a small album of photographs of the Hammond Island Church and mission, 1953. Other photographs include school groups and activities since the coming of the Sisters of Mercy in 1968. 6 prints of early Church identities and buildings of Thursday and Hammond Islands.
