Summary
The Diocese of North Queensland was founded in 1878, prior to that date the region came under the authority of the Diocese of Sydney The North Queensland Diocese now extends from Camilla to Urandangie in the south, the northern boundary runs in a line roughly from Trinity Bay west to Wrotham Park, then south to Emasleigh, and west to Herbertvale on the Northern Territory border. The Registry Office holds the principal central administration records of the North Queensland Diocese Some manuscripts and a collection of periodicals and historical publications relating to the Church in North Queensland are also held Except for some confirmation registers listed below, parish records of the Diocese are held in their parish of origin.
