Summary
The Company was registered 11 June 1910, following the amalgamation of the Northern Miner newspaper and the Townsville Newspaper Company. The Company now publishes the Townsville Daily Bulletin, Northern Miner (Charters Towers), North Queensland Register (weekly), and a free weekly newspaper, The Advertiser. A fire on 17 October 1912 destroyed a large quantity of company records, including back runs of newspapers. Only comparatively recent files of the Townsville Daily Bulletin are held.
