* 12 January 1889-1914 Labour paper first edited by John Hoolan, it absorbed the Ethendge Mining Journal, after its closure in 1893. There were some breaks in publication before the paper finally closed. QJCU 12 January, 1889, first edition on silk, also photocopy. * Pugh's Almanac 1889-1894, 1896 1917. Sunday Australian 26 February 1939 states 'in the early 1900s the editor Mr Gard went droving, the paper ceased publication and did not appear again until 1914. It closed finally shortly afterwards, following a libel suit.'
