Light breeze and calms all these 24 hours. At 2 pm had an Observation of the Sun and Moon which gave the Longd ° 42' West from greenwich. At 6 Cape Finister bore SBW½W Dist 6 Leagues. Variation of the compass p.r Az.th 1° 42' West. At Noon Cape Finister SBE Distant 4 leagues. Latd Observ'd 43° 4', therefore Cape Finister must lay in Latd 4° 53' North.
