23 November 1769 Thursday 23rd PM Gentle breezes at NNW and fair weather. Between 3 and 4 oClock got under sail with the first of the Ebb and ply'd to windward untill 9 when we anchor'd in 16 fathom over upon the East shore. In the night had light airs and Calm.
