Monday 25th A Gentle breeze at SE the weather a little hazey. PM stood to the S.W. At 4 the land above mentioned bore SEBS distant 4 Leagues. It proves to be a small Island which we take to be the Three Kings discover'd by Tasman: there are several smaller Islands or Rocks lying off the SW. end and one at the NE end. It lies in the Latde of 34°..10' So and Longitude 187°..45' West 14° and west 14° North 14 or 15 Leags from the North Cape. At Midnight Tack'd and Stood to the NE untill 6 AM then tack'd and Stood to the Southward. At Noon the Island of the Three Kings bore East 8° north distant 5 or 6 Leagues. Latde Obsd 34°..12' So Longitude In 188°..5' West Variation pr Azths taken this mor^ning 11°..25' Et -
