Fairway

Gallery
The fairway was the name commonly given to the main channel of a river, river estuary or port entrance in which vessels were required to sail.

The main channel of the river Thames beyond Gravesend was commonly referred to as 'the Fairway' in eighteenth-century ship's logs and journals.
