Mewstone

In the seas around the Mewstone are numerous rocks, the largest of which 'the Little Mewstone and the Shagstone - are visible regardless of the height of the tide, whereas others, notably the Renny Rocks, are often covered by water.

During the course of the eighteenth century numerous ships were wrecked in waters off the Mewstone.
