Puana Teraitua i Nu'urua

Ari'i of Mo'orea
 
Puana Teraitua was a powerful Ari'i on the island of Mo'roea whose title was associated with the pre-eminent marae, Nu'urua.

Puna Teraitua married Fetefeteui, who was related to high ranking title holders of Pa'ea. Fetefeteui and he had two sons, Mahine and Ta'aroari'i, and a daughter, Vavea.

Mahine, the eldest son, was the most powerful chief on Mo'orea during the 1760s and 1770s. Vavea was the mother of 'Itea, who became the first wife of Pomare I.
