Vaiareti

Oliver identifies Vaiareti as the woman whom Emory and Adams called Pateamai, Bligh called Whyderredee, and Vancouver called Fier re te (1974: 3, 1188-9). He reconstructs Vaiareti's biography as follows: She first married Tetua Ounumaona, younger brother and successor of the Vehiatua title-holder of Taiarapu who died 1775.
