FASHION-PIECESFASHION-PIECES, (estains, Fr.) the aft-most or hind-most timbers of a ship, which terminate the breadth, and form the shape of the stern. They are united to the stern-post, and to the extremity of the wing-transom, by a rabbet, and a number of strong nails, or spikes, driven from without.
