LARBOARDLARBOARD, (basbord, Fr.) a name given by seamen to the left side of a ship, wherein the right and left are apparently determined by the analogy of a ship's position, on the water, to that of a fish.LEDGELEDGE is also a long ridge of rocks, near the surface of the sea.
