Project Personnel

South Seas is a research venture conceived and undertaken by Paul Turnbull and Chris Blackall.

Paul Turnbull is currently Professor of History at James Cook University and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research, within the Australian National University.

Chris Blackall is a specialist in educational technologies and multimedia design who is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research.

Paul Turnbull developed South Seas with the support of the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research and the National Library of Australia, before being awarded funding through the Australian Research Council's Industry partnership Scheme (SPIRT), 2000-2003.

Other Participants are:

Mr Alan van den Bosch, a computer science graduate with expertise in the development of open source based applications.

Ms Christine Winter (to 2000), postgraduate research student, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Australian National University
